Women's Track and Field Opens Up Larry Ellis Invitational with Admirable Performances

Princeton, N.J. - The Princeton women's track and field team showcased their strength on day one of the Larry Ellis Invitational, delivering a number of commendable performances at home in Weaver Stadium.
In the Women's 1500m, Maggie Liebich claimed an impressive second place finish with a time of 4:20.54. Liebichs' performance will now rank her sixth all-time for Princeton. Liebich continues to raise the bar throughout the outdoor season. Last week, she claimed ninth all time in the 1500m, finishing in 4:21.27 and has already climbed to six all tim ein less than one week.
The Tiger distance squad impressed throughout Friday's events. In the Women's 800m, Morgan Monesmith finished in tenth with a time of 2:07.51. With this performance she will now rank ninth all-time for Princeton. Paola Rodriguez also finished the race at 2:10.92, and Maddie Cramer crossed the finish line at 2:15.22.
In the Women's 3000m Steeplechase, India Weir secured an outstanding second place finish with a time of 10:22.31 which will put her name at eighth all-time for Princeton. Lexi Allen finished in the top five in fourth, coming in at 10:31.31.
The Tiger throwers and jumpers also impressed in Friday's events. In the Women's Hammer Throw, Annika Kelly secured a top three finish, finishing third with a throw of 58.70m. Madeline Wolford also finished with a respectable mark of 49.27m.
In the Women's Long Jump, Alexandra Kelly finished in second with a jump of 5.93m, while Tia Rozario secured third with a jump of 5.91m. Rozario's performance on Friday will now rank her third all-time for Princeton in the long jump.
Georgia Scoot had a jump of 5.79m, sitting her at number five on the Princeton all-time performances list.
The Tigers will continue to compete on Day two of the Larry Ellis Invitational beginning at 11:00 a.m. The full schedule of events can be found HERE.
