Women's Track And Field Impresses On Day Two Of Larry Ellis Invitational Despite Lightning Shortened Meet

Princeton, N.J. - Despite the inclement weather that ultimately cut day two of the Larry Ellis Invitational short, the Princeton women's track and field team executed a number of strong performances across several events while the sun was still shining.
Starting off with the high jump, Madeleine Wood claimed a first place finish clearing a height of 1.77m. With this result, she earns the No. 2 all-time performance for Princeton. Wood has been a consistent competitor for the Princeton women throughout the outdoor season and continues to proudly represent the Tiger jumpers.
In the 4x100 final, the squad consisting of Adelaide Asante, Brianna Mponzi, Harlowe Brumett-Dunn, and Olivia Hee claimed first place with a time of 46.07, to earn a spot at No. 3 on the Princeton all-time performances list.

In the pole vault, Tessa Mudd impressed in Weaver Stadium by clearing an impressive height of 4.00m, to finish in second place.
In the first round of the 100m hurdles, Arianna Smith completed a solid performance with a distance of 14.12m. The 100m finals were unfortunately canceled due to the inclement weather.
The triple jump event was unfortunately cut short due to the weather, but before the cancelation, the Tigers were dominating the top three spots. Georgina Scoot led the way with a jump of 12.45m, securing the No. 5 all-time spot for Princeton, Tia Rozario executed a jump of 12.25m, and Alexandra Kelly leapt for 12.02m, showcasing the Tigers' strength in the event.
Maisha Atkinson represented Princeton in the 400m, finishing with a time of 1:01.74 and in the Discus Throw, Madeline Wolford finished with a mark of 38.46m.
