Men's Track and Field Kicks Off Weekend Competition at UVA Challenge

Day 1 Results
Charlottesville, VA -Â The Princeton men's track and field team kicked off day one of competition at the UVA Challenge on Thursday with the men's hammer throw and decathlon.
First Year Asher Robbins represented the Tigers on Thursday in the Men's Hammer Throw in Virginia. Robbins threw for 62.50 to take a sixth-place finish among some strong collegiate competitors. Robbins was the only freshman thrower to place among the top ten finishers in Thursday's competition.

In the Decathlon, Phil Kastner currently sits in second place with 4091 points after completing the 100m, Long Jump, Shot Put, High Jump, and 400m events. Throughout Thursday's events, Kastner took an impressive first place finish in the shot put with a 14.10m mark.

He will complete coemption this weekend with the 110m, hurdles, Discus Throw, Pole Vault, Javelin Throw, and 1500m.

Up Next:
Competition will resume for Princeton tomorrow on day two of the UVA Challenge and another squad of Tigers will be traveling to the Rutgers Relays and Wake Forest Invitational to compete.Â
