Princeton stands 14-4 in the Ivy, one game in front of Harvard and holding the tiebreaker for Ivy League Tournament hosting duties thanks to the Tigers' series win over Harvard last weekend. Princeton's magic number for clinching an Ivy title share and hosting the ILT is two, with any Princeton win or Harvard loss reducing the number. The Crimson will host Columbia in a three-game series Friday and Saturday.
NCAA rankings: Princeton holds several individual top-50 NCAA rankings, including catcher Ashley McDonald's 21st-best 12 runners caught stealing, Meghan Harrington's 21st-best four saves, Alexis Laudenslager's 25th-best 9.3 Ks per seven, Laudenslager's 30th-best five shutouts, Allison Ha's 37th-best 22.8 at bats per strikeout, Serena Starks' 42nd-best 56 hits, and Laudenslager's 43rd-best 145 strikeouts.
Laudenslager: Reigning Ivy League Pitcher of the Year Alexis Laudenslager has three no-hitters this season, the most for any player in program history, and five career solo no-hitters, making her the first player in program history to do that. Her 145 Ks are a season high, giving her 318 for her career. The single-season total is the 16th-best in program history, and if Laudenslager gets to 156 Ks, it would be the most in a season since Kristen Schaus '08 had 189 in 2008. The 318 career Ks are seventh-most in program history with Karen Drill '94 sixth at 384.Â
The Series with Dartmouth: Princeton holds a 34-26 all-time series lead over the Big Green. Dartmouth took two of three last season in Princeton and swept the teams' last meeting in Hanover in 2019. With Dartmouth also winning two of three in 2018 and sweeping the two meetings annually from 2014-17, the last time Princeton defeated Dartmouth twice in a season was a doubleheader sweep in 2012. The last time Princeton won two in Hanover was 2008.Â
On the Tigers: Starks (.400), Adrienne Chang (.345), Ha (.316) and Grace Jackson (.303) are all hitting above .300 for Princeton, and Laudenslager (12-8, 2.06 ERA, 109 IP), Molly Chambers (5-2, 3.61, 52.1), Harrington (1-1, 3.83, 42) and Brielle Wright (4-6, 4.42, 57) have handled the pitching duties for the Tigers.
On the Big Green: Kate Farren (.313) and Alaana Panu (.300) are hitting .300 or better for the Big Green, and Rachel McCarroll (8-13, 3.20, 140) and Stella Bale (1-5, 5.13, 43.2) have logged 183 2/3 of the team's 219 1/3 innings in the circle.
Up next: Princeton will close out the regular season May 4 with a home non-league doubleheader against Monmouth. The Ivy League Tournament will follow May 11-13.Â
