Women's Track and Field Dominates Day One of Miami and Duke Invitationals

The Princeton women's track and field team displayed a strong showing in multiple events on day one of both the Miami Invitational and the Duke Invitational with several standout performances.
Miami Alumni Invitational
The Princeton women impressed in the field at Miami, Florida. Siniru Iheoma made history by taking first place in the women's discus throw, finishing with a distance of 53.29 meters to earn her the second all-time best mark for Princeton in the event.
In the women's hammer throw, Annika Kelly had a strong showing, securing second place with a throw of 58.96 meters. Thrower Katie Peterson also impressed, finishing sixth with a distance of 55.06 meters.
In the women's high jump, Madeline Wood soared to a height of 1.71m, tying for No. 5 all-time for Princeton. In the women's pole vault, SJ Cohen cleared a height of 3.80 meters, showcasing her impressive consistency throughout the outdoor season.
Duke Invitational
In Durham, North Carolina at the Duke Invitational, the Tigers impressed in the 1500-meter run invite section. Maggie Liebich ran a personal best time of 4:21.27 to earn herself a third place finish and a No. 9 all-time best performance for Princeton.
Tiger teammates India Weir, Abby Loveys, and Fiona Max also had strong showings in the 1500m race. Weir finished in fifteenth at 4:25.90, Loveys at 4:28.80, and Max at 4:39.36.
Lexi Allen participated in the women's 1500-meter run, setting a new personal best time of 4:34.88 and finishing ninth, earning a top ten finish. Page Lester also achieved a personal best with a time of 4:38.09.
In the women's 800-meter run invite section, Morgan Monesmith and Maggie Hock both executed strong performances. Monesmith finished with a time of 2:09.64 and teammate Hock clocked in shortly behind at 2:10.54.

The Tiger women will gear up for another day of competition on Saturday, April 8th once again in Miami and Durham. Princeton will also represent in Glassboro, New Jersey at the Rowan Invitational.
