Myles Hogan of Men's Track and Field Sets Meet Record in 5000m at West Point Twilight Meet

West Point, NY - Following the Princeton men's track and field team's second place finish at last weekends' Outdoor Ivy Heps in Philadelphia upon Franklin Field, the Tigers had an impressive showing at the West Point Twilight Meet in New York, with standout performances across several events.
Myles Hogan dominated in the men's 5000m, setting a meet record with a time of 13:53.62. His performance also earned him a spot on the No. 9 all-time Princeton list in the event.
In the 3000 steeplechase, Connor Livingston also took a first place finish with a time of 9:09.35. Ethan Reese also had a strong showing in the men's 800m, finishing fourth with a time of 1:49.46.
In the men's 1500m, Jack Stanley finished ninth with a time of 3:49.61, followed closely by Cooper Austen who finished tenth with a time of 3:50.43. Connor McCormick also put in a strong effort, finishing with a time of 4:01.38.
The Tigers also impressed in the throwing events, with Casey Helm taking first place in the discus throw with a distance of 55.05 meters. Avery Shunneson finished close behind in second place with a distance of 53.01m. Joe Licata rounded out the top five in the event with a throw of 50.98 meters.
In the hammer throw, Asher Robbins took second place with a distance of 59.10m.
The Tigers also performed well in the shot put, with Tyler Konopka finishing second with a throw of 17.61m, and Joe Licata taking third with a throw of 17.47m.
