Sondre and Simen Guttormsen of Men’s Track and Field Qualify for NCAA Outdoor Championships

Jacksonville, FL. – The Tiger men had a strong showing on Day One of NCAA East Regional competition with two members of the Princeton track and field team, Sondre and Simen Guttormsen, qualifying for the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Austin, Texas.
Seven more from the Orange and Black competed admirably in Jacksonville during the NCAA East First Round.
Both Sondre Guttormsen and Simen Guttormsen qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the pole vault, with Simen finishing in second place after having cleared 5.40m and Sondre in ninth, clearing 5.30m.
In the Hammer Throw, Asher Robbins made his NCAA Regional debut with a 61.68m throw to finish 25th overall.
Thrower Tyler Konopka competed in the shot put, finishing with a mark of 16.13m to finish 46th overall in Jacksonville.
In the Long Jump, first year Greg Foster executed a 7.18m leap to finish 35th overall.
On the track, the 10000m saw Josh Zelek place 20th overall coming in at 29:49.04 and Matthew Farrell right behind in 22nd finishing at 29:59.04.
Duncan Miller finished with a time of 3:48.94 in the 1500m to finish 38th overall and in the 200m Ibrahim Ayorinde placed 42nd overall with a time of 21.03
