Women’s Track and Field Ready for Ivy League Outdoor Championships

Philadelphia, PA - This year's runner-up in both cross country and indoor track, the Princeton University women's track and field team aims to cap off a successful season with an Ivy League Outdoor Championship. Competition begins at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 6th upon Franklin Field on the campus of Penn University.
In 2022 Kate Joyce was honored as the Most Outstanding Field Performer at last years' outdoor championships. Joyce's mark of 51.96 meters in the javelin saw her win the event, and set a new Ivy League, and Heps meet record. The team of Brianna Mponzi, Nia Mosby, Olivia Hee, and Grace Lanouette set a new school record in the 4x100 meter relay, with a time of 45.19 and earned a first place finish. Siniru Iheoma also won a pair of Ivy League titles at the 2022 outdoor Heps, finishing in first-place in both the discus and the shot put.
In their most recent outing at Franklin Field for the 2023 Penn Relays , Princeton secured a pair of top ten, all time Princeton performances.
Maggie Liebich ran the 1500m in 4:18.83 to secure the No. 4 all time Princeton performance, and Abby Loveys ran the 5000m 16:05.11 to rank sixth all time.
2023 has also seen three, new school records set for the Princeton women.
Brianna Mponzi ran the 100m in 11.64 at the Raleigh Relays, Alexandra Kelly jumped for 12.96m in the triple jump at the UVA Challenge, and Kelly also set a new record in the long jump following her 6.04m leap at the UVA Challenge.
