Women's Golf Hosts Princeton Invitational At Springdale

Princeton opens the fall portion of its 2023-24 season with a home tournament, hosting the 25th Princeton Invitational at Springdale Golf Club September 16-17.

The tournament will be 54 holes of stoke play held over the two days, with 36 played on Saturday and the final 18 holes contested on Sunday. Both days will feature shotgun starts at 9 a.m.

A quality field will compete this weekend, with Albany, Boston University, Farleigh Dickinson, Georgetown, Holy Cross, St. John's and Seton Hall joining fellow Ivy League programs Columbia, Dartmouth, Harvard and Penn as opponents for the host Tigers.

Representing the Tigers this weekend will be Victoria Liu, Yu Kyung Kim, Caris Kim, Julia Kashimura and Flora Zhang.

Victoria Liu is the defending champion in the event, she carded rounds of 66-69-69 for a score of 204 (-9) to set a new tournament record. Her 66 in last year's first round tied the single-round record at the Princeton Invitational en route to claiming Princeton's first medalist at its home tournament since Susannah Aboff was champion in 2007.

Yale was the team champion last year, its team score of 854 giving them a 12-shot clearance of runner-up Harvard.

Team scores in the event will feature the top four scorers from each school out of the five competing. Par for the course this week is 71, with Springdale Golf Club measuring 6,109 yards.
