No. 13 Princeton Draws Lafayette, 1-1

A first-half goal for Madison Curry got Princeton on the board, but Lafayette's Nadia Zaffanella tied it in the 53rd minute, and despite a big advantage in overall shots for Princeton, the No. 13-ranked Tigers left Lafayette with a 1-1 draw Tuesday night.
In the 27th minute, Curry started with eight Lafayette defenders and goalkeeper Catherine Apker between her and the goal and weaved her way past all of them to get Princeton on the board.
The 1-0 Princeton lead stayed that way until Zaffanella put back her own rebound less than eight minutes after halftime to tie it at 1-1, and despite a steady Tiger attack as the game wound down, the draw held on a night that saw Princeton outshoot Lafayette 17-3 overall and 3-2 on goal.
Princeton will head to Brown on Saturday for a 4 p.m. kick as Ivy League play resumes.Â
