Maggie Connors '23, senior Sarah Fillier and Claire Thompson '20, three players whose names can be found throughout the Princeton women's hockey record book are among the 46 players headed to Hockey Canada's September camp in Thorold, Ont., just west of Niagara Falls.
The camp will run Sept. 11-16 at Canada Games Park. Fillier and Thompson, gold medalists at the 2022 Olympics, were with Canada's silver medal-winning team at the 2023 IIHF Women's World Championship in April, and Connors took part in the National Women's Development Team camp in August. The teams will play intrasquad games Sept. 14 and 16, which will be open to the public.
The camp is an opportunity for Canada to shape its roster for international competition throughout the winter and as the 2024 IIHFÂ Women's World Championship, set for Utica, N.Y., next April.
Connors stands 12th in program history in career points (142), eighth in career goals (78), and 11th in career assists (67). Fillier, entering her final season with the program, stands tied for ninth in career points (151), 15th in career goals (63) and fourth in career assists (88). Â
