Fassi's Program-Record In Platform Highlight's Tri-Meet With Va. Tech And Penn State

Luca Fassi set a program record on the 10-meter platform with a score of 394.40 to take first place as the Princeton men's swimming and diving team competed against Virginia Tech and Penn State in Christiansburg, Va.
Fassi led a 1-2-3-5 Princeton finish in the platform, aw he was followed by Aidan Wang, George Callanan and Taso Callanan. Wang won the 3-meter diving, followed by Fassi in second.
Virginia Tech defeated Princeton 198-102, while Princeton defeated Penn State 172-127.
John Ehling finished second in the 1,000 freestyle and third in the 500 free, while Mitchell Schott came in second in the 200 IM and fourth in the 100 free. Ehling was the first of four Tigers in the top seven in the 500 free, as Parker Lenoce finished fourth, Nicholas Lim finished sixth and Maximilan Hunger was seventh, while Schott led a 2-3-6-8 Tiger finish in the 200 IM along with teammates Noah Sech, Hunter Kim and Lucas Strobek.
Other second-place finishes for Princeton came from Tyler Hong in the 200 back, Yanning Zhang in the 100 back, where Hong finished fourth, and Max Kreidl in the 200 fly.
Princeton welcomes Harvard and Yale to DeNunzio Pool on Feb. 2 and 3 in its next competition.
