January 27, 2024 | Women's Squash
Looking for its first win over Harvard since 2013, the No. 4-ranked Princeton women's squash team battled the No. 3-ranked Crimson to the final match on Saturday afternoon in Jadwin Gym, but Harvard held on for a 5-4 win.
Princeton won at third position, with Emma Trauber surviving a comeback attempt by Harvard's Habeeba Eldefrawy after a two-game lead to win in five. Sonya Sasson did the same at seventh position against Ella Galova while Katherine Glaser won in three games at eighth position and Caroline Spahr fended off back-to-back elimination games to win in five at ninth position.
Harvard's Lucie Stefanoni provided the clincher in the last match on court, winning in four games at fourth position after the Tigers' Charlotte Bell opened that match with a first-game win.
Now 6-1 overall and 2-1 in the Ivy, Princeton will host Dartmouth on Sunday at 2:30.
