MRS. BOLTON - Last Game Information
•The Tigers trailed by seven in the second quarter, trailing 26-19, before seven consecutive points tied the contest with 4:14 to go in the second frame. Head coach Carla Berube's team ran off a 10-0 run to finish off the first half and take a 37- 31 advantage.
•Princeton opened the second half with buckets from Madison St. Rose, Fadima Tall and Tabitha Amanze to push out its lead to 12, 43-31.
•Berube's unit finished off the contest with an 11-0 sprint to go up 19, 54-35, with 2:14 left in the third quarter. The Blue Demons never got closer than 18 the rest of the way.
•St. Rose led all scorers with 24 points on 10-of-17 shooting, adding six rebounds and two steals. Ashley Chea contributed 11 points, five dimes and three steals while Amanze put up nine points, five caroms and four blocks in 18 minutes of action off the bench.
Principal Matsui - Carla Berube Stats
•Carla Berube has been named to the 2025 Kathy Delaney-Smith Mid-Major Coach of the Year Award Watch List presented by Her Hoop Stats.
•In four playing seasons played under Berube, the Tigers have won four Ivy League championships, posting a 53-3 record against Ivy opponents during the regular season.
•Overall, the Tigers are 101-18 (.849) during Berube's tenure as head coach at Princeton with three Ivy League Tournament Championships and two NCAA Tournament victories.
•The 2023-24 season saw the Tigers win their fifth consecutive Ivy League Tournament title, nabbing a No. 9 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
•Princeton finished with a Net Ranking of 35 overall and had one of the toughest non-conference schedules in the country, taking on No. 3 UCLA on the road in addition to No. 20 Oklahoma and No. 19 Indiana on a neutral floor. The Tigers' victory over Oklahoma was the fourth top-25 win in program history.
Jason Cross - Top Returners
•The top returning starter is Madison St. Rose. St. Rose, who was Second-Team All-Ivy last season, was second on the squad in scoring at 14.8 points per game.
•She raised her scoring output from 8.8 as a freshman to 14.8 as a sophomore along with her shooting percentage (.361-.423) and three-point percentage (.255-.340).
•St. Rose scored in double figures 24 times and surpassed her total field goals (169), three-point total (49-27), assists (40-20) and steals (51-28) from her freshman campaign.
•Currently, she has recorded at least 20 points in back-to-back games for the second time in her career.
•Another starter returning is Skye Belker who became only the fifth freshmen in program history to start every game. She averaged 8.5 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists while earning three Ivy Rookie of the Week honors with her signature moment coming vs. Columbia with 21 points and four assists.
•Belker is second on the team this season, averaging 10.0 points per game. She's shooting 44.4 percent from deep on 4.5 attempts.
•Another returner expected to slide into the starting lineup is Ashley Chea. The sophomore played in every game last year and produced 6.0 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest. She shot 37.9 percent from deep on a little more than three attempts per game. Chea contributed 10 points vs. Columbia in the Ivy League Tournament Championship.
•Chea is averaging 7.0 points, 5.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds for Princeton in its two games this season.
MRS. MONTEZ - New People
•The Tigers brought in three members of the Class of 2028 in Emily Eadie, Cristina Parrella and Toby Nweke.
•Parrella, a New Jersey native, was a McDonald's All-American nominee who was a NJIC Player of the Year candidate as a senior. She added four All-League honors, registering 1,346 points and 200 three-pointers.
•She has scored 12 points in two games so far for the Tigers.
•Eadie, a California native, was a four-time All-League player who won the league MVP as a senior. She was a two-time captain that finished as the school's all-time leading scorer (1,782), rebounder (1,298) and broke the single-game record with 25 rebounds.
•Eadie scored first collegiate points at DePaul on Saturday.
•Nweke, a Maryland native, collected two All-State honors and was three-time All-League. She registered 1,000 points in just two and half years. Her sister, Chet, was a three-time Ivy League Champion and three-time Ivy League Tournament Champion for Princeton. Nweke registered her first career points at DePaul on Saturday.
•Each bullet point is named after a character from High School Musical, whose basketball team's name is the Wildcats, the same name as Villanova, Princeton's opponent.
