About the Tigers
Princeton won its first Ivy title since 2015 and 10th all-time on Saturday, November 2nd at home on the Meadows Campus Cross Country Course. The title was also the program's first under Head Coach Brad Hunt.
Four Tigers finished in the top 10, with Mena Scatchard finishing first for Princeton with a personal-best time of 20:17.1 for second place overall.
Sophomore Anna McNatt finished in third place overall with a time of 20:17.1, while senior Alexis Allen took seventh place with a time of 20:25.2. Scatchard, McNatt and Allen were named to the First Team All-Ivy.
Meg Madison took eighth place overall, clocking in at 20:28.2, earning her a spot on the Second Team All-Ivy.
Emma De Jong was the fifth Tiger scorer, taking 20th place overall with a time of 20:53.6.
The combination of McNatt, Madison, De Jong, and Allen has been consistent for the Tigers this season. McNatt has scored in every meet for the Tigers, while Allen, Madison and De Jong have scored in four of five each on the season.
Scatchard has dominated also, finishing first for Princeton in four meets including Heps, the Paul Short Run (20:15.3), the Spiked Shoe Invite (20:25.2), and the New Jersey Jam (4k - 14:09.1). Her performances helped the Tigers to third place finishes at both Paul Short and Spiked Shoe, and a first place finish at the New Jersey Jam.
Princeton is currently ranked fourth in the Mid-Atlantic region, according to the latest USTFCCCA polls, also receiving six votes in the national polls.
In 2023, Princeton took sixth at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals, with Scatchard placing 35th (20:54.0).
Brad Hunt is entering his ninth season as head coach, and has coached five student-athletes to First Team All-Ivy honors (most recently Fiona Max in 2023), 12 to Second Team All-Ivy honors, and 18 to All-Region honors.
