Tordin's Ivy Offensive POY, Coaching Staff of the Year Lead Eight All-Ivy Honors

Pietra Tordin is the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Year, Princeton's coaching staff is the Ivy League Coaching Staff of the Year, and a league-best eight Tigers earned All-Ivy League honors as the Ivy League announced its annual honors on Wednesday.
Tordin, a junior forward who has scored a team-best seven goals in just seven games since returning from helping Team USA to a third-place finish at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, earned first-team All-Ivy honors to go three for three in earning all-league recognition. Tordin was a second-teamer in 2022 while winning Ivy Rookie of the Year and a first-teamer in 2023. Tordin's Ivy Player of the Year award is the 13th in program history and first since Mimi Asom '19 was the Ivy Offensive Player of the Year in 2018. Tordin is the first Tiger non-senior to win the honor since Tyler Lussi '17 in 2015.Â
The Ivy League Coaching Staff of the Year is in its first year under its new name, as it was the Ivy League Coach of the Year since it was first awarded in 2014. Combined with the three Coach of the Year honors that head coach Sean Driscoll won in 2015, 2017 and 2018, Driscoll's fourth honor gives him the most in the award's history. Driscoll shares the honor with associate head coach Mike Poller and assistant coach Chris Duggan as the staff helped Princeton to the Ivy League title this season for the first time since 2018.Â
Tordin, senior forward/midfielder Lily Bryant, senior defender/forward Heather MacNab, and senior goalkeeper Tyler McCamey were Princeton's four first-team All-Ivy honorees, with Tordin as a unanimous selection. Bryant has had two goals and three assists this season as her first-team honor follows her honorable mention in 2023 and first-team honor in 2022. MacNab, who has two goals and six helpers this season, earned honorable mention in 2022. McCamey, who has a 10-4 record with seven shutouts and an 0.57 GAA, earns All-Ivy honors for the first time.
Senior defender Ryann Brown, junior forward Drew Coomans, sophomore defender Zoe Markesini, and senior midfielder Kate Toomey earned second-team All-Ivy honors while Toomey, an economics major, was also Princeton's Academic All-Ivy honoree. Brown, a second-teamer in 2022, scored her first career goal this season against UMBC. Coomans, with two goals and three assists, was a second-teamer in 2023. Markesini, with three assists this season, earns All-Ivy honors for the first time. Toomey, with a goal and three assists this season, also earns All-Ivy honors for the first time.
Princeton's four first-team All-Ivy honorees are its most since 2017. The eight All-Ivy honorees overall are Princeton's most since 2018, when it also had eight total honorees. It's the most honorees between the first team and second team for Princeton in program history, as in 2017, when it had nine honorees, seven were between the first and second team, in 2018, five of the eight were between the first two teams, and in 2012, seven of the eight honorees were between the first two teams.Â
Princeton will aim for the Ivy League Tournament title and the automatic NCAA tournament bid that comes with it when it hosts the Ivy League Tournament beginning Friday. Princeton will meet Harvard in a 4:30 p.m. semifinal on Friday after Columbia and Brown meet at 1 p.m. at Roberts.
