Baseball Drops Opening Day Contest To UNC Wilmington

WILMINGTON – The Princeton Baseball Team dropped a 14-1 decision to the UNC Wilmington Seahawks on Friday evening.
Trevor Marsh hit a two-run home run for the home squad in the first inning and followed with an RBI single in the third frame. UNC Wilmington scored three more times in that at-bat to make it 6-0.
After single tallies in the fifth and seventh stanzas, UNC Wilmington recorded a six spot in the eighth inning.
Jake Koonin produced the Tigers' lone run with an RBI single in the ninth. Dylan Zdunek recorded a hit in his first collegiate at-bat. Jason Ramirez allowed one run in three relief innings.
Princeton and UNC Wilmington continue their series Saturday. First pitch is now at 1 p.m.
