
Men's Track & Field Captures Its 25th All-Time Indoor Ivy Heps Title

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Princeton men's track and field team emerged victorious at Harvard and claimed their 9th consecutive and 25th Ivy Indoor Heps Title, securing a total 168 points, 53 above Cornell who placed second. Led by stellar performances across various events, Princeton emerged as a dominant force, clinching seven individual Ivy champions and two championship teams.
Sam Rodman delivered an outstanding performance, clinching first place in the 800m finals with an impressive time of 1:48.65.
Nicholas Bendtsen excelled this weekend, securing two separate first place finishes. He dominated the men's 3000m with a time of 7:54.81, setting an Ivy League Record and the fastest time at an Ivy Leage Championship since 1983. Bendtsen also triumphed in the 5000m, clocking in at 14:01.76.
In the 1000m, Collin Boler claimed his inaugural Ivy League championship, crossing the finish line with a time of 2:22.28, closely followed by Harrison Witt in second place with a time of 2:22.44.
In the field events, Greg Foster seized first place in the long jump with a mark of 7.67m (25-2) on his penultimate jump, and also secured second place with a mark of 15.29m (50-2) in the triple jump.
Philip Kastner, the multi-event athlete, earned the championship title in the Heptathlon with an impressive total of 5591 points, achieving first place in both the long jump and shot put events.
The quartet comprising Kavon Miller, Jackson Clarke, Joey Gant, and Anderson Dimon clinched first position in the 4x400 with a time of 3:12.13. Additionally, the group composed of Jordan Kaplan, Connor McCormick, Collin Boler, and Sam Rodman secured another first place finish in the 4x800 with a time of 7:32.85.
Princeton achieved a remarkable 1-2-3 sweep in the men's 200m finals, with Jackson Clarke leading the pack with a time of 21.15, a new meet record, followed by Zach Della Rocca in second with 21.21, and Joey Gant claiming third with a time of 21.36.
Zach Della Rocca earned second place in the 60m finals with a time of 6.71 seconds. Connor McCormick also secured the silver medal at Heps with a time of 4:04.41 in the mile finals.
Anderson Dimon finished second in the 500m finals, posting a time of 1:02.72.
The Men's DMR team displayed a strong performance, securing a commendable third place finish. The team, comprised of Jack Stanley, Connor Chen, Harrison Witt, and Duncan Miller, completed the race in 9:56.89.
Sebastian Clatworthy and Nick Molloy both achieved fifth place finishes, with Clatworthy in the high jump clearing 2.07m (6-9.5) and Molloy in the pole vault reaching a height of 4.96m (16-3.25).
