
Women's Track & Field Has Three Event Winners at Sykes and Sabock Invitional

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - The Princeton women's track & field team wrapped up competition at the Sykes and Sabock Invitational this afternoon. There were some standout performances across various events. Georgina Scoot's long jump, Angela McAuslan-Kelly's impressive weight throw, Siniru Iheoma's dominance in shot put, and the noteworthy efforts in the distance events.

"Penn State offered another great opportunity to test ourselves against great competition in a great facility," said head coach Michelle Eisenreich. "The field events continued to lead the charge with 1-2 finishes in the long jump and weight throw and a win in the shot put. As we head down the homestretch in our preparations for Heps, we look forward to the opportunity to sharpen our skills and break more records."
Georgina Scoot captured a victory in the women's long jump, securing the top spot with a jump of 6.16m (20-2.5). Scoot had three jumps over 6.10m in today's meet. Alexandra Kelly also demonstrated her prowess, claiming 2nd place with a jump of 5.97m (19-7). The success in the long jump event showcased the team's continued strength in the field events.
Angela McAuslan-Kelly showcased her dominance in the weight throw, claiming 1st place with a throw of 19.28m (63-3.25). This marks the fourth victory of the freshman's season, and she continues to maintain an undefeated record. Annika Kelly was right behind her, securing the 2nd spot with a commendable throw of 17.73m (58-2). Siniru Iheoma continued Princeton's success by securing 1st place in the shot put with a powerful throw of 14.93m (48-11.75).
Lucca Fulkerson showcased her endurance and stamina in the 3000m run, securing an impressive 3rd place finish with a time of 10:00.12. In the 1-mile run, Lexi Allen claimed the 6th place spot with a noteworthy time of 4:51.64.
Adelaide Asante exhibited her agility and speed in the 60m hurdles, securing a 5th place finish with a time of 8.81 seconds. Notably, Asante ran a 7.75 in the 60m preliminary round in her first time contesting the event.
