Nweke's Career Day Helps No. 25 Women's Basketball Over Brown, 76-63

PRINCETON – The No. 25 Princeton Women's Basketball Team had four players in double figures as it took down the Brown Bears, 76-63, at Jadwin Gym on Saturday evening.
Ahead by two, the Tigers ripped eight of 10 to take a 20-12 lead after 10 minutes. Chet Nweke and Madison St. Rose combined for 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting during that stretch.
Princeton broke out with nine straight points to begin the second quarter, expanding its lead to 17, 29-12, with 7:22 to go in the first half. Brown got back within nine, but Princeton countered to get its advantage back to 17 before holding a 40-26 lead at halftime.
St. Rose and Nweke continued their impressive showing, combining for 23 points in the first half.
Brown made another push, closing the gap to nine in the third quarter, but a 16-5 run by the home team made the contest a 17-point affair again. Princeton led by 15 after 30 minutes and by double digits the entire fourth quarter.
Nweke set a new personal best with 18 points on 7-of-11 from the floor, adding seven rebounds and three steals. St. Rose also had 18 points while Kaitlyn Chen contributed 17 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals. Skye Belker scored nine of her 11 points in the second half.
Head coach Carla Berube's team registered 25 points on 17 Brown turnovers.
Princeton is now 17-3 overall and 7-0 in the Ivy League. The Tigers, on a 12-game winning streak, head to Penn next Saturday. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
