Princeton, Harvard and Cornell will race for the Class of 1975 Cup on Friday at 2:48 p.m. The Tigers have won eight consecutive Class of 1975 Cups and have not lost since 2013. Last year, Princeton defeated Harvard by almost 12 seconds.
"With our first race of the season behind us, the team is excited for the upcoming racing weekend where we take on two Ivy League teams whom we'll next meet at the Ivy League Championships in May." said Katharine Kalap. "Last year, we delivered a standout performance across the whole team during our Cornell & Harvard-Radcliffe race, and this year, we're aiming to replicate that success on our home course. Additionally, the prospect of multi-day racing, challenging opponents, including a formidable west-coast team, presents a unique opportunity to gauge our speed at this stage of the season, all with an eye toward NCAAs (pending qualification)."
The Tigers began the 2024 campaign with a 3.2-second decision over Brown for the Class of 1987 Trophy.

Princeton returns two All-Americans from last year's squad in Katherine George and Lucy Koven. It was the third time ever that the boat has medaled at NCAAs in consecutive years (2009-10, 2005-06).
Princeton finished third in the NCAA team standings, trailing Stanford (129) and Washington (120). It was the second straight season the Tigers were third, marking the first time in program history that the Tigers finished top three in consecutive seasons.
Princeton had three alumnae named to the U.S. Rowing Olympic Team in Claire Collins '19, Emily Kallfelz '19 and Kesley Reelick '14. They will race in either the four or eight boats.
