No. 3 Women's Crew Earns Class of 1975 Cup

PRINCETON – The No. 3 Princeton Women's Rowing Team collected its ninth straight Class of 1975 Cup to wrap up day one of the Ivy League Invite on Friday afternoon.
"Today was filled with exciting racing in challenging conditions," said Princeton head coach Lori Dauphiny. "We believe we made some good strides forward as a team and we anticipate more great racing tomorrow."
The 3V started the action with a 6:31.9, 3.6 seconds in front of Harvard (6:35.5). The Tigers' 4V had a 6:49.8.
Princeton's B4s crossed the line at 7:07.92, 2.3 seconds ahead of the Crimson (7:10.22).
The A4 boat continued the impressive day, earning a 15.2-second decision (7:09.81) over Harvard (7:25.0).
13 seconds separated the winning 2V boat (6:21.83) over Harvard (6:34.9), making two consecutive 10+ second victories for Princeton.
The Class of 1975 Cup was decided by 15.7 seconds as Princeton rowed to a 6:10.0. Harvard (6:25.7) finished second.
The home team begins day two of the Ivy Invite at 11 a.m. with races vs. Rutgers and USC on Saturday.
