No. 4 Women's Crew Drops No. 6 Yale for 12th Consecutive Eisenberg Cup

DERBY – The No. 4 Princeton Women's Crew Team won its 12th straight Eisenberg Cup over the No. 6 Yale Bulldogs on the Housatonic River Saturday morning.

The Tigers' 3V started the racing with a 6:27.7, 3.1 seconds in front of Yale (6:30.8). The Bulldogs' 2V took a 6:14.1 across the line, 1.6 seconds on top of the Tigers (6:15.7).

Princeton's 1V corralled the Eisenberg Cup with a 5.2-second decision (6:06.7) in the third event of the day.

Head coach Lori Dauphiny's varsity four rowed to a 6:59.5, over 11 seconds ahead of Yale. The B4 also won with a 2.6-second decision (6:57.9).

"It was competitive racing at its best," said Dauphiny. "The Eisenberg Cup is one of the oldest cups in the women's collegiate rowing. Yale was a great host and brought the teams together to celebrate Pride!"

Princeton will host Columbia, Northeastern and Notre Dame at Lake Carnegie next Saturday (Apr. 27).
