No.1 Women's Lightweight Rowing Sweeps No. 5 Georgetown; Earns Class of 2006 Cup

PRINCETON – The No. 1 Women's Lightweight Rowing Team swept the No. 5 Georgetown Hoyas on Lake Carnegie on Saturday.

The varsity double started the day with a nine-second decision (7:35.6) before the A-Four collected a 19-second win (7:20.3).

In the final event of the day, the Varsity Eight won its fourth consecutive Class of 2006 Cup, earning a 6:26.4, 14.6 seconds in front of the Hoyas.

It's very fitting that these seniors (Sarah Fry, Lily Feinerman, Kalena Blake, Nathalie Verlinde and Bonnie Pushner) finished up their home racing careers with course records in the four and eights," said Princeton head coach Paul Rassam. "It's hard to fully express what they have meant to this team. This was a nice build into Eastern Sprints next week. Each boat has more speed to be found."
