No. 1 Women's Lightweight Rowing Heads To Eastern Sprints Sunday

PRINCETON - The No. 1 Women's Lightweight Rowing Team heads to Lake Quinsigamond for Eastern Sprints this weekend.
Princeton has won three straight gold medals and five consecutive medals at Sprints dating back to 2017. The Tigers have never four golds in a row.
Last year, The Varsity Eight crossed the line at 6:29.29, over four seconds in front of Boston University (6:33.58) with Georgetown (6:35.38), Radcliffe (6:40.71) and Wisconsin (6:45.34). I
Princeton's double also took care of business with a time of 7:26.33, ahead of Radcliffe (7:31.92), BU (7:46.17), Wisconsin (8:09.28) and Gordon (8:32.62).
The Tigers' varsity four earned a time of 7:22.04, 3.5 seconds ahead of BU (7:25.61), Georgetown (7:30.87), Wisconsin (7:31.9) and Radcliffe (7:37.94). It's the first time the V4 won gold at Easterns since 2010.
Last week, the Tigers swept No. 5 Georgetown. The varsity double started the day with a nine-second decision (7:35.6) before the A-Four collected a 19-second win (7:20.3).
In the final event of the day, the Varsity Eight won its fourth consecutive Class of 2006 Cup, earning a 6:26.4, 14.6 seconds in front of the Hoyas.
Princeton has collected wins over No. 2 Radcliffe, No. Stanford and No. 5 Georgetown this season all by at least 3.3 seconds.
