EUGENE, OR - On the opening night of the NCAA DI Outdoor Championships, Jackson Shorten secured his spot in the finals of the 3000m Steeplechase with an impressive performance in the prelims. Competing in the second heat, Shorten set a personal best time of 8:31.68, finishing fifth overall out of a competitive field of 23 athletes.
