Not only has she made the 400m final for three consecutive seasons at the Texas state meet, but she steadily improved her placement each year (6th in 2022, 5th in 2023, 3rd in 2024). A three-time Iowa state meet champion in the discus and shot, she has the championship experience needed to compete well at the biggest meets. Also a budding hammer thrower, Jana has the potential to make a big impact across three events.
Why Princeton: ?"I knew Princeton was the choice for me when I stepped on campus and felt like it was a place for me to truly flourish. Despite a low mileage background and balancing the demands of being a multiple sport student-athlete, Margaret thrived in championship moments in every season of her high school career. I am excited to see her pursue her passion in the steeplechase while building an even greater resume in the fall, winter and spring.
