PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton women's track and field team will host the annual Sam Howell Invitational on Saturday, April 4th in Weaver Stadium.
The action will kick off at 8 a.m. with the men's and women's 10ks, before field events start at 10 a.m. and the running events pick back up at 12:30 p.m.
Princeton is coming off a dominant showing as it hosted Rider on Tuesday evening for a dual meet.
Layla Giordano highlighted the night with an Ivy League record-breaking performance in the discus, throwing 59.94m for a new NCAA #1 mark.
Showing out on a warm mid-week evening in Princeton, the Tigers picked up six other event wins on the night.
Before Tuesday, the Tigers last opened the outdoor season at the Monmouth Home Opener on Saturday, as the javelin squad represented the Orange & Black with an event win by Shea Greene and Niki Woods taking third.
At indoor Heps, the Tigers won a historic second-consecutive Ivy League indoor title, marking the program's fifth-straight Ivy title across cross country and track.
The program enters the 2026 outdoor season looking to complete a second-straight Ivy League Triple Crown, so far having won the cross country and indoor Ivy titles this academic year.
At the NCAA Indoor Championships, Alex Kelly and Georgina Scoot both earned First Team All-America honors in the long jump and triple jump, respectively.
Kelly was named the USTFCCCA's Mid-Atlantic Field Athlete of the Year. Associate Head Coach Reuben Jones also earned regional Assistant Coach of the Year.
The Tigers are led by Head Coach Michelle Eisenreich, in her 10th season at the helm. Named the 2026 Indoor Mid-Atlantic Coach of the Year, Eisenreich also earned her third-straight Ivy League Coach of the Year award during this indoor season. The 2024-25 Triple Crown was the program's first under her leadership.
