Men's Cross Country Takes 9th at Nuttycombe Invitational

MADISON, WIS. – With Myles Hogan leading the Tigers, the Princeton men's cross country team took ninth place at the Nuttycombe Invitational with 275 points.
"The team executed our plan well. We started off conservatively and worked our way up the entire race. Very strong races from our top four today. Very excited for the rest of the season as this was a great early test for us." - Head Coach Jason Vigilante
The meet, which featured a field of 24 teams, was hosted at the Zimmer Championship Course in Madison, Wis. on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Junior Hogan kicked out 12 runners during the final 2000m of the 8k race to finish 26th overall with a time of 23:58.6.
Hogan's classmate Jackson Shorten was the second Tiger to cross the finish line, clocking in at 24:09.4 for 43rd place after outpacing 24 runners during the final split.
Weston Brown (24:12.7), Daniel O'Brien (24:13.8) and Nicholas Bendtsen (24:43.5) also scored for Princeton, taking 50th, 53rd and 103rd place respectively.
Pushers Collin Boler and Jack Gregorski clocked in at 24:55.2 and 25:00.2 to keep the Tigers in the top-10 teams.
In the men's "B" race earlier in the day, Harrison Witt took 11th place in a field of 49 runners, clocking in at 24:45.2.
