Men's Cross Country Places First at New Jersey Jam

PRINCETON, N.J. – Taking first place in its first meet of the season, the Princeton university men's cross country team won the New Jersey Jam on Friday, September 6. Sophomore Collin Boler took first place in the 5.6k, clocking in at 16:40.5, while junior Jackson Shorten took second with a time of 16:40.8.  
Myles Hogan and Connor McCormick also finished in the top five, claiming fourth (16:44.0) and fifth place (16:44.2), respectively.
In the field of 74, Princeton also claimed finishes seven through 11, with Daniel O'Brien, Harrison Witt, Nicholas Bendtsen, Weston Brown and Christian Groendyk securing the Tiger victory.
With success across the leaderboard, the Tigers earned a team score of 16, just one point off from the lowest possible score of 15 in a five-team race that included a local Big Ten rival and an Ivy rival.
The Tigers hosted the meet at the new course on the Meadows Campus in Princeton, featuring a 5.6k course for the men.
