Tigers Shine at Navy Dual Meet, Winning 104-75

ANNAPOLIS, MD. – Winning 12 of 14 individual events and one relay, the Princeton women's track and field program defeated Navy in their dual meet on Saturday in Annapolis, Md, 104-75.
Hannah Riggins set a new facility record at the Wesley A. Brown Field House, running the 1000m in 2:45.87. Her time broke the previous record held by Rachel McArthur from Villanova who ran a 2:46.51 in 2019, and she also now ranks third in Princeton history.
In the 500m, Maisha Atkinson ran a blazing 1:12.48 for an all-time program second-best.
The first-year sprinters also excelled at the meet; Brooke Jackson ran the 60m in 7.63 for first place, also winning the 200m with a time of 24.90. Jazmyn Singh won the 400m with a mark of 56.20.
Olivia Martin won the 800m with a time of 2:15.38.
Anna McNatt had a day, winning the mile with a time of 4:50.96 while also running the 3000m in 9:35.85 for first place.
In the field events, Tessa Mudd won the pole vault with a 4.10m mark. In the shot put, Siniru Iheoma took first place with a mark of 14.69, while Layla Giordano took second with a mark of 14.68.
Georgina Scoot won the long jump with a mark of 6.26, while Alyssa Carrigan won the high jump with 1.68, with Madeleine Wood tying for second.
A Princeton team of Maisha Atkinson, Lauren Harris, Lily Parris and Khushi Umesh won the 4x400 relay, running 3:54.10. Harris ran a squad-best 56.93 split.
Setting the tone with another team-wide strong performance, the Tigers were able to showcase their versatility and depth in today's win.
