
Rachael Carver Sets New Program Assists Record In Win Over #22 Wagner

PRINCETON, N.J.- The No. 6/10 women's water polo team faced off against No. 22 Wagner to wrap up the Princeton Invitational. In a series that stood at 3-3 all time, the Tigers came to play. Rachael Carver highlighted the night with a whopping six assists to break the program's all-time assist record. The senior out of Laguna Beach, Calif. now has 209 career helpers. Three hat tricks were added to the mix as the Tigers topped Wagner 20-9.
Princeton came in hot, going on a 6-0 run started by a quick goal from Grace Houlahan. Lindsey Lucas was a force in the cage and kept the Seahawks off the board for the first frame.
Kayla Yelensky tallied her third goal in the second quarter to give her a hat trick in every game this weekend.
The Tigers held a dominant 11-2 advantage going into the halftime break and never let up.
Ava Houlahan added two goals in the third to give her a four score game and tied her single game career high.
Charlotte Riches and Hadley Harbilas each added two goals to the stat sheet. The Tigers had six different scorers in the second half.
The victory serves as the first win over a ranked opponent in 2025 as Derek Ellingson's squad turns its focus to the first CWPA matchup of the season. Princeton will take on the Brown Bears on Feb. 7 with the game set for 7:30 PM.
