Tordin Invited to U.S. Futures Camp
January 08, 2025 | Women's Soccer
Reigning Ivy League Offensive Player of the Year Pietra Tordin has been invited to U.S. Soccer's Futures Camp Jan. 14-21 in Carson, Calif., as the national federation gathers U-23 eligible players.Â
The Futures Camp will run alongside the U.S. Women's National Team camp, also held in Carson during the same dates. Tordin is one of 24 invitees to the Futures Camp.
The invite comes just months after Tordin helped the U.S. U-20 team to a third-place finish at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Colombia. Highlighted by a hat trick in the group-stage finale against Paraguay, Tordin's four goals in seven games, while starting five, were the most for a Team USA player at a FIFA U-20 tournament since 2012, and the hat trick was the first for Team USA at the event since 2018.
After returning from the U-20 WWC in late September, Tordin played 10 games for Princeton in 2024, helping the team to the Ivy League title, league tournament title, and the NCAA first round, scoring the team's final goal of the season in the NCAA opener against Virginia. That goal was Tordin's 10th of the season, a league-best total despite playing in just 10 games.
