Josh Robinson went from being a nice early-season story to becoming the breakout newcomer in the Ivy League, and now he is the third Princeton football player to win the Ivy League Rookie of the Year Award. Robinson is also one of 10 Princeton players who earned 2025 All-Ivy League honors, it was announced Tuesday by the Ivy League Office.
Â
Robinson earned Rookie of the Year honors after he smashed Princeton's 14-year freshman records for both receptions (46) and receiving yards (569), and he did so without being a regular member of the Tiger offense until October. He ranked fourth among Ivy receivers in receptions (38) and fifth in receiving yards (483) during league play, and he caught touchdown passes against both Brown and Cornell.
Â
"Josh not only has talent and athleticism, but he showed the maturity and intelligence to immediately play one of our most challenging positions," head coach Bob Surace said. "Nearly every week he either was the top rookie in the Ivy League or runner up. This is an incredible honor and one that he earned with his incredible commitment to excellence on and off the field."
Â
Robinson, who also earned All-Ivy League honorable mention, joins Doug Butler (1983) and Chuck Dibilio (2011) as the only Tigers to win Ivy Rookie of the Year. Robinson is one of only six Ivy League players to win the Rookie of the Week award five times, and he is the third Princeton player to do so (Dibilio and Ryan Butler, 2022).
Â
Junior Brady Clark, who led the Ivy League in punting this season, earned unanimous first-team All-Ivy honors after earning honorable mention as both a freshman and sophomore. Clark led the Ivy League in punting average (44.8 yards/punt), punts inside the 20 (16), punts over 50 yards (11) and long punt (65), and his punt average ranks 11th in the FCS.
Â
Five Princeton players earned second-team All-Ivy honors, including three on the offensive side of the ball. Junior Ethan Clark led the Princeton ground game with 594 rushing yards and six touchdown runs. Clark ranked sixth in the Ivy League in both overall rushing yards and rushing yards in Ivy League games (484). Clark also caught 17 passes for 193 yards and a pair of touchdowns. His highlight performance came in a road win at Brown, where he rushed 17 times for 120 yards and a score.
Â
Classmates Barrett Eddlemon and Justin Selbert both earned second-team honors as members of the offensive line. They helped Princeton place in the top half of the Ivy League in passing average in league play (214.7 yards/game), while the offense also averaged 127.3 rushing yards per game.
Â
Senior Marco Scarano and junior Torian Roberts both earned second-team All-Ivy League honors on the defensive side of the ball. Scarano finished seventh in the Ivy League with 8.2 tackles per game this past season, and he finished his career with 196 stops. A co-captain for the 2025 Tigers, Scarano had double-digit tackles twice, including 11 in the comeback win over Columbia. He played in every game over the last three season and was also honored as Academic All-Ivy.
Â
Roberts developed into one of the top defensive backs in the Ivy League and tied for the league lead with four interceptions, including one he returned for a touchdown in the win over Lafayette. He had two interceptions against Yale, and he finished seventh in the Ivy League in passes defended (10).
Â
Senior defensive back Nasir Hill, junior linebacker Chase Christopher, and junior defensive back Evan Haynie each joined Robinson in earning All-Ivy League honorable mention. Hill, another senior co-captain, finished third on the team in tackles with 59 and is now a three-time All-Ivy League honoree. Christopher, who earned All-Ivy recognition for the second straight season, finished second on the team and ninth in the Ivy League with 7.9 tackles per game. Haynie finished fourth in the Ivy League in interceptions (3) and eighth in passes defended (9).
Â
"I am so happy for our 2025 All Ivy League selections," Surace said. "These players had terrific years and I am pleased that they earned the respect from the other Ivy League coaches to receive these honors."
Â
Eight of Princeton's 10 All-Ivy League players will return next season, including seven juniors — that total is tied for the most among any Ivy League team.
