TRENTON, N.J. – Despite junior Jackson Hicke's third consecutive 20-point game, the Princeton University men's basketball team fell just short to Saint Joseph's in the 2025 Deborah Heart and Lung Center Jersey Jam inside CURE Insurance Arena, 60-58.

Hicke recorded a game-high 20 points on 8-for-14 shooting from the field and 2-for-4 from the free throw line while also tallying a team-high seven rebounds along with a game-high five assists. Sophomore Jack Stanton scored in double figures for the fifth time this season, finishing with 14 points on 5-for-9 shooting from the field and 4-for-8 from three. Freshman Landon Clark finished with a season-high nine points and went 3-for-4 from three.

Princeton got off to a strong start; a layup by freshman Sebastian Whitfield ignited an 8-0 run that put the Tigers ahead by nine, 14-5, with 12:48 remaining in the half. SJU responded with an 8-0 run of its own, making it a one-point game at 10:08, 14-13. Princeton and the Hawks battled back-and-forth for the rest of the half, with the Hawks taking a 30-25 advantage into halftime.

The Tigers battled back early in the second half, with a three-pointer by Clark putting Princeton back in front with 16:21 remaining, 36-35. The Tigers and Hawks continued to trade baskets, and another three-pointer by Clark tied it, 52-52, with 5:18 on the clock. A three-point play by Hicke at 00:39 made it a two-point game 60-58, but Saint Joseph's held on for the 60-58 victory as a final second three-point attempt from Hicke fell short.
