Corniea Named ECAC MAC Goaltending & HCA Goalie of the Month for November

After a 5-1 month that saw her named ECAC Hockey's MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week, Princeton junior Uma Corniea has been named ECAC Hockey's MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Month and the Hockey Commissioners Association's Co-Goalie of the Month for November.

Corniea had a 1.32 GAA and a .956 save percentage over the stretch, which included four wins over top-15 opponents in No. 10/11 Clarkson, No. 7/7 Quinnipiac twice, and RV/No. 14 Yale. In the lone loss, to St. Lawrence, Corniea allowed just one goal, and in one of the Quinnipiac wins, Corniea made a career-high 40 saves to get a 2-0 win for one of her two shutouts during the run, along with a 1-0 overtime win over Clarkson.

With the strong November, Princeton has risen to No. 11 in both the USCHO ranking and the USA Hockey ranking heading into a big weekend trip to No. 14/15 Colgate and No. 8/8 Cornell before the holiday break begins.
