Scatchard, Asante, Leigh and Riggins Smash DMR Program Record at Penn State National

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. – A Tiger squad of Mena Scatchard, Adelaide Asante, Peyton Leigh and Hannah Riggins set a new program record in the DMR at the Penn State National Open, running a blistering 11:04.51.
Scatchard put the Tigers in first with a 1200 split of 3:22.28, before Asante followed it up with a 54.30 400m leg. Leigh was up next, running the 800 leg in 2:11.04 before Riggins anchored with a 1600m in just 4:36.89, putting Princeton across the finish line first.
The time is a new NCAA #5 performance. It also cleared the previous Princeton record of 11:11.00, set in 2022.
Asante had a day, also taking third and setting a new PR in the 200m by clocking in at 24.47. Maisha Atkinson was behind her with a time of 24.64 for fifth.
In the field events, Alysa Carrigan won the high jump with a mark of 1.73 / 5'8, setting a new college best.
Georgina Scoot won the triple jump, jumping 12.63 / 41-5 ¼.
Siniru Iheoma took second in the shot put, throwing 15.21 / 49-11 for second.
