Several Tigers Set New Bests as Women's Track and Field Competes at Penn Classic

PHILADELPHIA, P.A. – Several Tigers set new bests as the Princeton women's track and field team competed at the Penn Classic on Saturday in Philadelphia.
Franziska Burchett set a new college best in the 60m prelim, running 7.76 before going on to take fifth place in the final.
In the 60mH, Lily Parris took fifth with a time of 8.78, matching her prelim time. Shea Burke also set a new personal record in the prelim, running 9.08.
First-year Jazmyn Singh took second in the women's 400m, running a fast 55.73.
Daphne Banino ran a new season best in the mile, clocking in at 5:02.30 for 14th place. Margaret Thompson was just behind her at 5:06.92 for 21st place.
Thompson and Banino also ran the 800, taking 13th and 21st respectively with times of 2:18.08 and 2:28.05.

The Tigers will ship up to Boston next weekend for the the BC Eagle Elite Invitational on Friday, February 14th and the BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Saturday, February 15.
