Scatchard Breaks Own Mile Record, Several Tigers PR at Eagle Elite Invitational

BOSTON, M.A. – Setting a new PR by four seconds, Mena Scatchard broke her own program record in the mile at the Eagle Elite Invitational in Boston on Friday.
Running a blazing 4:28.43, Scatchard put herself at no. 8 on the NCAA qualifying list. Her time cleared her previous school record of 4:32.95, set just weeks ago at the Dr. Sander Scorcher.
Hannah Riggins also took seventh in the mile with a new personal-best time of 4:35.51.
Jazmyn Singh took fifth in the 400, running 54.65 for a new PR. Maisha Atkinson was right behind her, running 55.00 for seventh, also setting a new personal best. Singh's time puts her at second in the Princeton records, while Atkinson now sits at fourth.
Brooke Jackson took fifth in the 60m final, running 7.60. She also took fifth in the 200m running 24.51 to match her personal best.
Olivia Martin set a new personal best in the 800, running 2:08.31.
In the jumps, Princeton cleared Tessa Mudd, Georgina Scoot and Alexandra Kelly each winning an event.
Mudd won the pole vault, with a mark of 4.06m/13' 3.75". Scoot won the long jump, jumping 5.99m/19-8, while Kelly won the triple jump with a mark of 12.27/40-3.25.
Alysa Carrigan also took third in the high jump with a mark of 1.66m /5' 5.25".
The Tiger throwers also had a day, as Angela McAuslan-Kelly won the weight throw with a mark of 18.22/59-9.50. Siniru Iheoma was right behind her with a mark of 17.38/57-0.25 for second.
Layla Giordano and Makenna Marshall took second and third in the shot put, throwing 14.80m/48' 6.75" and 14.15m/46' 5.25" respectively.
In the relays, Princeton took third in the 4x400 with Adelaide Asante, Lauren Harris, Atkinson and Singh running 3:41.82.
