Men's Basketball Falls To Brown

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's basketball team fell to Brown Friday night inside the Pizzitola Sports Center, 70-56.
Sophomore Dalen Davis led the Tigers with 15 points, while junior Xaivian Lee added 11 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals. Junior Caden Pierce recorded a game-high 11 rebounds and scored nine points, which brought his career total to 1,007. Pierce became the 39th player at Princeton to join the 1,000 Point Club and the second player in 2024-25, as Lee joined it on Feb. 7 in the Tigers' win over the University of Pennsylvania.
While the Bears raced out to a 10-2 advantage with 16:03 on the clock, the Tigers were able to battle back and narrow the deficit to two, 18-16, with 7:58 left in the half after a freshman Jack Stanton three-pointer ignited an 8-0 run. A 15-0 run by Brown gave the Bears a 33-16 advantage with 3:27 remaining in the half, then Brown took a 38-20 lead into halftime.
A three-pointer by Lee followed by a Davis mid-range jumper made it a 15-point game at 17:10, 42-27, but Brown would extend its lead out to 20, 48-28, with 15:42 left to play. A jumper by sophomore Jackson Hicke at 13:15 led a 6-0 run that made it a 53-39 game with 11:40 remaining, then the Tigers would make it a 10-point game at 4:42, 59-59, after a senior Blake Peters three-pointer then a Davis layup. A late 6-0 run by Brown put the hosts up 67-51 with 1:45 on the clock, then the Bears would hold on for the 70-56 triumph.
