Princeton opens the spring portion of its 2024-25 men's golf season with a trip to California to compete in The Prestige hosted at PGA West and played on the Norman Course.
The 54-hole tournament will be played over three days, starting on February 17 and finishing on February 19.
First contested in 2000, The Prestige counts among its recent winners PGA stalwart Ludvig Aberg (2022, 2023) and Viktor Hovland (2019).
In 2023, Riccardo Fantinelli played as an individual at The Prestige, and he shot -5 (69-73-69) over the three rounds. While his score wasn't among the five counting for the team that week, it was second overall among all players -- only trailing Aberg's -6.
Last year, Princeton was 16th out of 24 teams at the event. Fantinelli again carded a three-day score of -6, shooting rounds of 68-67-63 to finish T15.
The 2025 field includes 23 other teams in addition to Princeton: Arkansas-Little Rock, Baylor, Colorado, Colorado State, Florida Atlantic, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Louisville, Loyola Marymount, Nevada, Northwestern, North Carolina, Oregon, Oregon State, Pepperdine, San Diego, Stanford, Texas Tech, UC-Davis, UNC-Wilmington, Washington State, and Yale.
