Men’s Tennis Falls To Harvard In ECAC Championships
February 16, 2025 | Men's Tennis
PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- The Princeton men's tennis team faced Harvard in the ECAC Championship match on Sunday evening. Although the Tigers won the doubles point, they were unable to close things out in singles as Princeton was defeated 4-2.
"We had a good start winning the doubles, but once again we didn't jump out to leads in most of the first sets in singles," head coach Billy Pate said. "However, we were battling, our effort was great and our guys off court and the supporters who travelled over, including the women's team, provided great energy. We simply lost some crucial points and just missed on turning the momentum. We have to be better in these moments but Harvard played well and we have to credit them for coming up big. Despite the loss, it was a good weekend and we have a strong slate of home matches coming up the next three weeks."
