Women's Squash to Host Georgetown, Virginia in Regular-Season Dual Finales
February 17, 2025 | Women's Squash
In what will be the final regular-season dual matches of 2024-25 for the No. 3-ranked Princeton women's squash teams, the Tigers will host No. 15 Georgetown on Saturday and No. 6 Virginia on Sunday at the racquet center in Princeton's Meadows Neighborhood.

The Tigers enter the weekend at 9-2 overall and looking to bounce back from a 5-4 loss to Penn in the Ivy finale two weekends ago. Zeina Zein, on the first team, and Molly Chadwick and Emma Trauber, on the second team, were Princeton's All-Ivy League honorees. The trio have spent most of their matches competing across Princeton's top three positions, across which Princeton has gone 23-10 so far on the dual-match season.
Georgetown stands 5-8 and also last competed two weekends ago, going 1-2 at the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference championships. The Hoyas are coached by Heba El Torky, who moved to Georgetown after serving as an assistant coach at Princeton under Gail Ramsay for a 2023-24 season that saw the Tigers make the CSA team tournament final. Princeton and Georgetown have never met in women's squash as the Hoyas are a fairly new varsity program. Announced in January 2020 that Georgetown would add the sport on the varsity level, the Hoya women's squash team began competing for the 2021-22 season.
Virginia is 9-4 and last competed last Saturday in a 7-2 win over Cornell after making the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference tournament final the weekend before against Stanford. Princeton is 9-0 all-time against the Cavaliers and the teams have met at least once annually since the 2017-18 season after first meeting during the 2004-05 season.
Princeton will recognize its five-member senior class of Chadwick, Josephine Klein, Katherine Sapinski, Connie Nelson and Kristen Weil before Sunday's match.
Following the weekend, Princeton will compete for the final time during the 2024-25 season at the CSA team championships, set to begin March 6 in Philadelphia.
