No. 8 Women's Water Polo Drops Two At Harvard Invite

CAMBRIDGE – The No. 8 Princeton Women's Water Polo dropped two contests at the Harvard Invitational Saturday.
No. 18 Harvard 7, No. 8 Princeton 6
Kayla Yelensky began the scoring before the Crimson evened the score at 1-all after eight minutes.
Tallies from Ava Houlahan and Ally Lurie had the Tigers up two, but Harvard close to the gap to one, 3-2, at the break. The Crimson began the second half with four straight to go ahead, 6-3, with 4:02 to go in the third quarter.
Princeton closed the gap to two twice but couldn't push through. Yelensky recorded her third goal of the game with one second to go, finishing the scoring.

The Tritons ripped off the first three goals of the game before consecutive goals from Houlahan made it 3-2 with 4:40 to go in the first quarter.
UC San Diego's offense caught fire with five consecutive goals, taking a 9-5 lead into halftime. Princeton got within two twice, trailing 11-9 after a Kate Mallery tally as the fourth frame got started.
The California school registered back-to-back goals in 29 second to go up 14-10 and put the game away.
Princeton finishes the Harvard Invitational vs. UC Santa Barbara Sunday (10:20 a.m.).
