Women’s Tennis Secures Third Place At ECAC Championships

PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- The Princeton women's tennis team faced a familiar opponent in the Harvard Crimson in the third and fourth place match at the ECAC Championships. The two teams previously matched up on the first day of ITA Kickoff Weekend in Athens, Ga where the Tigers came out on top 4-3.
It was a similar story in this match with Princeton picking up a 4-2 win thanks to four victories in singles.
The Tigers were down 0-2 in the match before Bella Chhiv started the comeback with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Charlotte Owensby. Yichen Zhao followed suit with a win over Stephanie Yakoff in straight sets. Eva Elbaz battled it out in a thrilling three set match that ended 7-5, 2-6, 7-5 and gave Princeton the lead. Pearlie Zhang finished things off with a win on court five 6-2, 3-6, 6-4.
