PRINCETON, N.J. – The fourth-seeded Princeton University men's basketball team will open the 2025 Ivy League Tournament against top-seeded Yale as the Tigers strive to win a third Ivy Tournament title and return to the NCAA Tournament for the 27th time.

Princeton At Ivy Madness
Princeton, who won the Ivy League Tournament in 2017 and 2023, have appeared in the Ivy League Tournament seven out of the eight years of its existence. Along with 2017 and 2023, the Tigers clinched a spot in Ivy Madness in 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2024.

One Of The Nation's Top Winning Percentages
The Tigers winning percentage of 74.2% since the start of the 2021-22 season ranks No. 14 in the nation for best winning percentage. Princeton has gone 89-31 in that time span.

Since the start of the 2021-22 season, Princeton has gone 47-9 at home for an 83.93 winning percentage.

The Tigers downed the University of Pennsylvania inside Jadwin Gymnasium on Mar. 8, 95-71, in the final regular season contest of 2024-25. Blake Peters led the game in scoring with 25 points while Xaivian Lee recorded his second career triple double with 23 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds. CJ Happy added 14 points and Caden Pierce 13. The Tigers' victory over Penn tied the all-time series for the first time since 1905, 126-126.

The Second-Winningest Coach In School History
With 251 career victories, Mitch Henderson passed Franklin C. "Cappy" Cappon to become the second-winningest head coach all-time at Princeton for wins. Henderson trails only Naismith Hall of Fame member Pete Carril, who ended his career with 514 victories.

Lee declared for the 2024 NBA draft but elected to return to Princeton for his junior year. He was one of 45 players selected to attend the NBA G League Elite Camp in May.

Historic Triple Doubles
Lee became the first Tiger in program history to record a triple double since assists were first recorded in 1974-95 in Princeton's win at Saint Joe's on Dec. 3. Lee tied the team-high in scoring with 18 points on 7-for-14 shooting, had a game and career-high 13 rebounds along with a game and career-high 10 assists. Lee recorded a second triple double on Mar. 8 in the Tigers' win over Penn with 23 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds.

Xaivian Lee was honored as the Ivy League Player of the Week for the third time this season and the fifth time in his career on Mar. 10 after recording his second career triple double of 23 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds in the Tigers' win over Penn on Mar. 8. Lee was also named Ivy Player of the Week and Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) Player of the Week on Dec. 10.

Through 29 games, Lee has 159 assists which ranks No. 2 in program history for most assists in a season. The program record of 161 assists is held by Tosan Evbuomwan '23 and William Ryan '84. Lee needs to assists to tie the program record and three to set a new one.

Before Lee, the last Princeton player to have at least 10 assists in a game was Spencer Weisz '17, who had 13 at Liberty on Dec. 10, 2016. His 13 assists against Liberty also marked the last time a Tiger had at least 11 assists in a game, a feat accomplished by Lee on Dec. 21 against Rutgers.
