Harrison Witt Places 10th In Mile At NCAA Indoor Championships

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. – Harrison Witt finished in 10th place in the men's mile at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Virginia Beach, Va. on Saturday.

Running a time of 3:59.71, Witt finished as a second-team All-American to secure his first individual All-American honor of his indoor career to go with first-team All-American honors in the DMR in 2022.

Witt took the field out strong, leading for the first 1000 meters before the chase pack overtook him and he was unable to counter that move two-thirds of the way through the race.

Seeded eighth entering the meet, Witt was second in his semifinal on Day One with a time of 3:56.95.

The All-American finish caps an indoor season that saw Witt set the Ivy League record in the mile at the BU Valentine Invite in February and win Ivy League titles in the 1000 and 4x800 at Heps as part of his fourth consecutive Heps team championship.
