PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 2 Princeton University men's lightweight rowing team returns to Lake Carnegie to host No. 10 Columbia for the Campbell Cup on Mar. 29 at 3 p.m. and No. 5 Dartmouth for the Diamond Challenge Trophy on Mar. 30 at 9 a.m.
The Tigers are coming off a season-opening victories over Navy and Georgetown on Mar. 22, as Princeton retained the Murtaugh up for the third consecutive season and the Fosburgh Cup for the ninth straight season. Princeton's 1V (5:37.5) finished ahead of Navy (5:40.8) to win the Murtaugh Cup, while it also finished in 5:48.5 to the Hoyas' 5:57.4.
In 2024, Princeton secured the Campbell Cup over the Lions by 6.5 seconds, with the 1V crossing the line at 6:10.05. The Tigers also earned the Diamond Challenge Cup over the Big Green, with the 1V finishing in 6:05.7, 13.7 seconds faster than Dartmouth's boat.
