No. 4 Women's Rowing Retains Class of 1987 Trophy Over No. 7 Brown

PRINCETON – The No. 4 Princeton Women's Rowing Team retained the Class of 1987 Trophy as it took down the No. 7 Brown Bears on Lake Carnegie today.
The 1V opened the racing with a 3.6-second decision (6:12.1) over Brown (6:15.7). Its seventh straight win over the Bears and 25th overall (25-12).
Brown's only victory came in the second race in the varsity four (7:08.6). Princeton's 2V bounced back with a 9.6-second victory (6:21.4).

"As tradition holds, we kicked off the season by racing against the highly competitive Brown team," said Princeton head coach Lori Dauphiny. "Brown always brings a strong challenge and today was no exception. Our athletes were excited to get going, and they did a great job. There's still work to be done, but it's a good way to kick off the season. It was especially fun to see our freshman class experience their first spring racing."The Tigers keep the Class of 1987 Trophy!

Dauphiny's B4 collected a 7:20.1, the top time over Brown (7:22.5). The Tigers' 3V wrapped up racing with a 6:37.5, 3.6 seconds ahead of the field.The 2V takes down Brown!
