PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 4 Princeton University heavyweight rowing team will host No. 15 Navy Saturday at 9 a.m. as the Tigers aim to retain the Princeton-Navy Cup.
Princeton, who earned the No. 4 ranking in the IRCA/IRA Pre-Season Coaches Poll announced on Mar. 26, opened its season at Lake Carnegie on Mar. 9 against No. 16 Georgetown, No. 18 La Salle and No. 24 Temple, and earned first-place finishes in all four races.
Additionally, the trio of Patrick Long, Connor Neill and Theo Bell were named to the 2025 IRCA Athlete Watchlist on Apr. 2.
Last time they met, on Apr. 6, 2024, on the Severn River in Annapolis, Maryland, the Tigers swept all four races against the Midshipmen. The 1V earned the Princeton-Navy Cup with a 6.1-second decision over the Midshipmen, finishing in 5:44.1 to Navy's 5:50.2.
